Casting On...Arrgh!

Listen to Show #2 Here!

Thanks everyone for tuning in for our second episode.  I'm sorry I don't have any information on the equipment and microphones mentioned but if you can't find it on your own, let us know and we will send you the links.

Petunia was sheared!!

Petunia before..(This picture was taken one month before shearing.)

Petunia after. (This one was taken 4 days after shearing and already she's starting to grow out again.)

Here is a picture of the second attempt at the stocking to end all stockings.
As you can see, it is already longer...
It is THIS much wider.  UGH!!

ON MY NEEDLES...Pink Frosting by Elissa Sugishita from Interweave Crochet Spring 2006

JUST OFF MY WHEEL...8 oz. of sage green Merino/Silk I just finished spinning up in a two ply.  It is by Louet, as I thought, but didn't say because I didn't want to have to take it back if I was wrong. : ) The color is Lichen.

The Fiber Action Cooperative put on the wonderful Anything Fiber Yard Sale in Black Mountain, NC in August.  I hope you can make it next year... Just not before me!

One of my favorite magazines Living Crafts Magazine.  Check it out!  It really has something for every crafter.

I will repeat the links to Oregon Flock and Fiber   in Canby, OR and  the Majacraft Aura.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time at SOAR (Spin-Off Retreat Autumn Retreat) on October 24-30, 2010.  Sadly I won't be there. : (  Maybe next year!

If you want to contact Carin on Ravelry, you'll find me as Thriftyknitter or leave a comment here.  We can also be reached by email at theknitwits@comcast.net.

  6. I was listening to this as we drove home from school (Senior Daughter in the front seat and Second Grader in the back) and we started laughing so much at the end that I kept hitting her on the arm. If it had gotten any sillier, we would have had to pull over! Luckily, our laughter was so loud that SG kept saying, "What did she say? What did she say?" Very funny and you are improving from podcast to podcast!

  8. Oh my goodness - it's always wonderful (and a little odd) to laugh as loud as I did with no one around! I am SOOO glad I found you and can't wait to hear more!
